Over the last few weeks, we have discussed the Holy Spirit, the person and work of Jesus, and what It looks like to practically obey and follow Jesus in all season of life. This week we are engaging the topic of repentance and the biblical vision for repentance in the life of the believer.
In week 2 we see that Jesus teaches us that our love for him is most clearly expressed through obedience to his commands, which are summed up by loving God and loving others. This is impossible for us to do by ourselves, however, so Jesus gives us the Holy Spirit, who is just like Jesus in spirit. The Holy Spirits renews our hearts and the way we desire to live for God and serve others.
